Press Release Writing 10 Golden Rules:
- Start with the words: For Immediate Release at the top.
- Catchy Header or Title that will entice the reader to read further.
- Dateline location and date followed by a
- Paragraph covering all major points in the press release.
- Crisp Description of the New Product, Service or Technology your company is introducing, including Price.
- Market Profile of your company and potential customers (Who is your target market?), Testimonials and
- Beta Comments from your company president and satisfied or important clients.
- Avoid Hype and Puffery but list your company's competitive advantage or customer benefits. (The press will ignore a blatant sales pitch!)
- Contact Information or company information, years in business, web site address, etc.
- End All - Use one of the following signs on the bottom line to "End All".

Remember...
- Be prepared for a positive
response from the Press.
- You should have a Press
Package ready to go that includes
another copy of your press release and up-to-date
supporting information and company brochures,
samples, pictures etc.
